2011 Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally Media Releases

Media Release 11 - Team Kirrihill Wines looking to settle "unfinished business"
SARC regular Sandy Nott is looking forward to a solid result in the 2011 ASP Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally after mechanical dramas ruined his chances on the 2010 event.  A faulty gear linkage on the Myponga stage on Saturday morning halted their progress and although repairs were made, too much time was lost to score a decent result.  They completed the Sunday leg in father and co-driver Charlie’s TVR rather than risk further gear issues without a proper investigation.

2011 sees Sandy back and competing in all 3 days including round 1 of the SA Rally Championship which will be run on the Saturday stages of the event.

Media Release 8 - 2011 Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally Rides on Aldom Motortport Trailers
For the second year, Aldom Motorsport Trailers are partnering with the asp Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally. Mark Haig and his team wowed us all in 2010 when they launched their new lightweight fibre composite bodied motorsport trailer; a brilliant red unit that was the envy of the service parks at both the Rally and the 2010 Mount Alma Mile. Transporting and housing Mark’s venerable MR2 (also red giving a nice continuity to the whole presentation) for the events last year, the trailer was able to show those interested how it performed in the “working” environment, something that it did with ease.

Media Release 4 - Roger Paterson to defend his Australian Classic Tarmac Championship title
Roger Paterson is back in 2011 to defend his 2010 Australian Classic Tarmac Championship Title, and what better way to start his defence than by competing in his home state in a South Australian born and bred event that he has supported since its inception, the 2011 Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally (AHTR). Roger has competed in the AHTR since its current format originated in 2007 and has always been a formidable opponent to all that have come his way. His edgy yet quick driving style matched with his trusty 1974 Porsche 911RS and the ever reliable co-drivers that he has had over the years have always been a resounding crowd pleaser and a nightmare to fellow competitors. With the distinctive livery, gravely engine note and blinding speed, there is no mistaking when Roger is on a stage and on song.
